How to Use the App2Vid Google Chrome Extension for LinkedIn

App2Vid’s Google Chrome Extension now automatically integrates with your LinkedIn account! You can now record within your LinkedIn account or add pre-recorded videos from your App2Vid account.

Step-by-Step: How to Add App2Vid to Your LinkedIn Account

Step 1: Download App2Vid’s Chrome Extension and Log In

To add App2Vid to your LinkedIn account, you will need to install our Google Chrome Extension. Watch the above video or follow the step-by-step process below…

  1. Log in to your App2Vid account.
  2. Click ‘Integrations’ on the Dashboard Menu.
  3. Select the Google Chrome option to head to the Chrome Web Store.
  4. Click ‘Add to Chrome’ followed by ‘Add Extension’.
  5. The Extension button will be added to your Google Chrome Toolbar (top right of your screen).
  6. Click on the button, type in your App2Vid login details and click ‘Log In’.
  7. When you first log in, you’ll be prompted to allow App2Vid to access your microphone and camera. Make sure you click ‘Allow’.

Step 2: Open Up Your LinkedIn Account

  1. Now you’ve installed the Extension, you’ll be able access App2Vid directly from LinkedIn. You can record new videos or add existing videos from your App2Vid account for posting or direct messaging.
  2. Simply click the App2Vid Extension button on your LinkedIn Toolbar when you’re creating content for your post or direct message.
  3. The first time you click the button on your LinkedIn Toolbar, LinkedIn will ask to access your microphone and camera. Make sure you click ‘Allow’.
  4. Pick ‘Record a New Video’ or select an existing video from your Library.
  5. When your video is ready, select your Landing Page and Call to Action Set and then click ‘Insert Video’.
  6. Just add some supporting text and post your update or send your direct message.

Step 3: Track your LinkedIn video message

When you use App2Vid in your LinkedIn account, you can see how much of your video was watched and if anyone clicked on your Call to Action buttons.
